Women in Conservation: Education and Outreach

  • Carpenter Nature Center 12805 Saint Croix Trail South Hastings, MN, 55033 United States (map)

In honor of Women’s History Month, the St. Croix River Association will host three family-friendly events throughout the month of March to highlight the contributions of women in the field of conservation.

Spend time with Outdoor Educator, Nicole Biagi from the St. Croix River Association and Naturalist Abbey Holden from Carpenter Nature Center (CNC) to learn about their roles as educators in the outdoor industry. Learn about songbirds, raptors, and much more on an informative hike on the CNC grounds and spend time with the ambassador animals while hearing the stories that shaped these two women’s roles in nature and protecting the environment.

This family-friendly event is open to all, but may be especially inspiring for young people with a passion for nature! The hike will primarily be outdoors with a possibility of limited audience inside the Visitor’s Center. We will be following State of Minnesota and CDC guidelines for COVID-19 safety. Please bring a facemask and be prepared to follow social distancing protocols.
