Join Washington County Master Gardeners for a FREE in-person workshop Saturday, Jan. 20, 3-4:30 p.m. at Hardwood Creek Library in Forest Lake. Winter sowing is a low-maintenance way of starting plants in winter for next year’s garden.
In these classes Master Gardener volunteer educators will teach:
Why it’s important to start native perennial seeds in winter
How to create your own mini-greenhouses from milk jugs
How to help seedlings in the spring months
Soil and seeds will be provided. Please bring two plastic containers (i.e. milk jugs).
