Bioretention Basin

Big Marine Lake

In partnership with the City of Scandia and its residents, the District installed a bioretention basin that will help reduce annual discharge of nutrients into Big Marine Lake. The large basin is estimated to reduce total phosphorus discharge to the lake by 1.1 lbs. per year.
